I feel that there are necessary skills that will help you get the interview that you aren’t reading about
1. Condense, Condense, Condense your resume-Shoot for a page-I am currently at a page and half-trying to figure out ways to get it to be less.
2. Always include an elevator speech in your email to recruiters or new people in your network-gives a quick bio of who you are what you have done so if they see what they like they will look at your resume
I believe cover letters and resumes should be more particular to the job you are applying for, but I will get into that in another post.
